Product Making FAQ's

FAQ's

Will the weight of my soap bar be the exact same every time?

The weight of soap is an approximate and can vary slightly from batch to batch. Our soaps are hand cut, and water continues to evaporate from them even after the 6 week curing time.

Why does the color of my soap bar look different than the picture shown?

Colors, or product appearance may differ from how they may appear on your screen due to the type of device you use to access the store and your device settings and configuration. We do our best to make sure the color in the picture is true to the product itself.

What are those little cracked lines in my soap and why does it look like there are bubbles in it?

Those little cracks are called glycerin rivers and they appear for many of reasons. Slow cooling, dense pigments in colorants, high water content, or if the soap overheats.

The little tiny bubbles you are seeing are air bubbles. Sometimes air gets trapped within the soap batter from mixing, and pouring.

Neither of these will affect the soap's quality, they just alter the appearance slightly.

Why does the color of my soap look splotchy?

Some fragrance oils have a mind of their own. Especially those with a high vanilla content. Sometimes they will discolor the soap.

The discoloration can range from tan, light brown, dark brown, or even to black. We try to combat that buy coloring the soap with a darker color for a more even look, but sometimes we are unaware of how a fragrance oil will perform and we get a nice surprise after the fact.

While it alters the look of the soap, rest assure there is no performance issues with it.

How long will the fragrance last in one of my wax melt cubes while in use?

Our repeated testing has shown that the fragrance could last up to 15 hours of continuous use.

Please note, this may vary from fragrance to fragrance.

What is the easiest way to get the wax out of my wax warmer?

Turn your wax warmer on for 1-2 minutes to warm it up slightly. Use a paper towel to wipe out the glass wax holder clean, and your ready for a new scent.

Why do your wax melts have a different texture than the ones in my local store?

We use soy wax to make our melts. Soy wax melts are made from nothing artificial only natural soybean oil, while "regular" melts are often made from paraffin wax which is a petroleum byproduct.

Soy wax melts are typically softer than regular wax melts made from paraffin wax. Soy has a lower melting point, which causes it to be softer and more pliable.

Soy wax melts are a more eco-friendly and non-toxic option, as they burn cleaner, are biodegradable, and release fragrance at a cooler temperature.

Our melts may take a little maneuvering to get out of the package, but as you can see, are well worth the extra effort.
